Pregnant and Newborn Health in COVID-19 Pandemic: Knowledge level, Attitude and Perspective of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and Pediatricians in Turkey (A Survey-based Study)

Objective: The COVID-19 is a rapidly ongoing pandemic. 368.513 cases and 10.027 fatalities have been reported in Turkey up to this day. Pregnant women newborns constitute special patient group disease. In our study, we aimed measure the knowledge level, attitude protective measures, perspective of education medicolegal issues obstetricians - gynecologists (OB-GYN) pediatricians on pregnant newborn health about COVID-19. Material-Methods: A cross-sectional, online-survey consisted 22 questions. Age, academic degree, duration profession first three questions, level next 14 last five questions were queried. Results: questionnaire was applied 145 physicians. 65.5% them pediatricians, 34.4% OB-GYN. having adequate determined as 44% 34.7% for OB-GYN pediatricians. No statistically significant relationship found between way acquiring degree both physician groups (p>0.05). Positive preventive measures during after pandemic 94% 90%, 96.8% 92.6% positive 72% 80 % OB-GYN, 80% 94.7% Conclusion: Current related clinic approach- treatment algoritms should be increased legal arrangements made make feel safe.
